Dirt is not beautiful. It does not call attention to itself. But without dirt, growth cannot happen. At The Beacon, our goal is to provide high quality space and support to local west side residents and organizations so that they can grow and be change agents in our community. We believe community transformation comes from our tenant partners, not from us.

At The Beacon, our goal is not to create more programs and solutions for the community, but instead to support the long-standing local leaders and programs that already exist here. Primarily we do this by providing low-cost, multi-purpose space for local groups, nonprofits, and schools that are seeking to restore and renew the west side of South Bend.

We seek to partner with mission-aligned organizations and offer them space to expand their programs and services. We continue to meet with local organizations to learn, dream, and plan how space at The Beacon can be used.
